OUR HISTORY

From Chemical Distribution to Comprehensive Solutions

Founded in 1997, K-Solv initially focused on chemical distribution and maritime services along the Gulf Coast. Over the years, the company expanded its offerings and customer base, becoming a trusted provider in the region of a variety of sales and services.

1997 K-Solv’s Beginnings

Russ Allen founded K-Solv Inc. in October 1997, in which it began its business focusing on chemical distribution and maritime services.

2001-2005 - Roots in the Ground

K-Solv acquired a series of properties in Channelview, TX to establish its primary plant and maritime dock sites and began to grow its span of chemical and maritime services around the Texas coast. During this time, Channelview was home to many national petrochemical and industrial entities mixed with local mom and pop enterprises. K-Solv strategically found business opportunities among both groups, forging relationships which remain the key element of K-Solv’s chemical and maritime existence today.

2008-2016 - Plant Expansion and Capital Improvements

K-Solv continued to upgrade its Channelview facilities with expanded office and warehouse space as well as maritime dock facility upgrades with significantly enhanced environmental safeguards and features. Challenging economic times and market swings forced the K-Solv team to be nimble, creative, patient and strategic with its operations and growth plans.

2017 - Disaster Response Expansion

K-Solv acquired Garner Environmental Services Inc., broadening its capabilities into disaster response and emergency management offering rapid and reliable solutions for critical situations. Garner was a 30-year-old response industry pioneer with a single owner, but the industry had seen significantly increased competition. Russ’s entrepreneurial nature was the perfect fit for this entity to quickly adapt into the modern emergency management arena.

2019 - Industrial Supplies for the Region

Rowdy Products and Supply LLC is created to offer a large variety of safety and industrial supplies to K-Solv’s expanding customer base in the Gulf Coast region.

2021 - Oil and Gas Expansion- A Natural Texas Fit

K-Solv enhanced its offerings in the oil and gas industry with the acquisition of Energy Completion Services LLC, providing rental equipment and related lubricant type products for the oilfield industry. ECS now operates and has facilities in West Texas, Northeast Texas, Louisiana and North Dakota.

2022 - Expanding Sectors and Services

K-Solv Fuel Services LLC was created with the construction of a fuel distillation plant and renewable fuels center in Anahuac, TX. This modern facility focuses on distillation and repurposing of “dirty” petroleum products to eco-friendly usable fuels for intermediaries and end users. The acquisition of Turnkey Industries, a custom trailer manufacturing outfit, bolstered K-Solv’s disaster response capabilities and expanded its focus on custom equipment and solutions for numerous industrial and commercial sectors. Mobile command centers and data centers are the bread and butter products of this business unit which has facilities in Texas and California.

2023 - This Land is Our Land

In order to better serve its expanding customer base, The K-Solv Group continued to acquire real property and facilities across the country. The K-Solv Group of companies currently owns operational facilities in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, California and North Dakota.
